"Quest Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program offers comprehensive care including a full multi-disciplinary staff with specialized training in eating disorders. Clients attend group, individual, family treatment and mindful eating about 15 hours per week."
Treatment Philosophy:
"We utilize a team approach and relate to our clients in a holistic way, responding to both the eating disordered self and the healthy self that wants recovery. Our staff are trained and utilize best practice methods based on research and outcomes. These practices include: Maudesley Method, psycho education, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems approach, heartmath, supervised meals, visualization, gestalt, art therapy, medication management and 12 Step."
Family Program:
"We offer weekly family education that provides psycho education about eating disorders, family roles, codependency and other topics. The program also allows and encourages group processing and networking with other families. All clients receive weekly family therapy with a licensed program therapist to address family of origin issues, improve communication and trust and change family dynamics to promote recovery."
Position On 12 Step Involvement:
"We incorporate 12 Step approach as one of the valid and valuable ways to change eating disordered behavior. We refer to 12 Step programs in the community, including those that treat substance abuse addictions, if indicated."
Position On Approach to Compulsive Overeating vs. Anorexia/Bulimia:
"Each client receives an individualized treatment plan, including a meal plan. For all clients, we help them look at the meaning of food and eating in order to decode and increase awareness."
