Self Description:
"Individualized, holistic treatment exclusively for women on a spiritually nurturing residential campus."
Treatment Philosophy:
"The expert staff at Timberline Knolls is committed to serving each woman and her family with uncompromising care, relentless compassion, and an unconditional, joyful spirt. We meet each woman wherever she is in her awareness of her challenges and help her to strengthen herself from within. Treatment addresses the whole person, with special attention to co-occurring disorders or addiction."
Family Program:
"Each woman has a dedicated family therapist, separate from her primary therapist. Family therapists are experts in helping loved ones heal themselves from the effects an eating disorder or substance abuse has had on them. Private and multifamily educational groups also help the family prepare themselves to support their loved one's recovery once she returns home. Family therapy begins Week One; there is no pre-set on campus family week."
Position On 12 Step Involvement:
"Treatment combines education in recovery principles and 12 Step facilitation with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), experiential and expressive therapies, and family systems therapy."
Additional Characteristics:
"Wooded, 43 acre campus with reflecting pools, activity lawns, and a mix of historical buildings and modern residential lodges; medical staff onsite 24/7; Christian therapists available upon request; art and equine therapy; dedicated aftercare planning staff; school-age women can earn academic credit that shows up on their transcript as from their home school through TK Academy."
